Our snapping turtle Tank should be hibernating. Instead, he is splashing around in his plastic pond in the downstairs office. My husband Mark has been leaving the office window open, which makes the downstairs very cold.
The turtle was splashing so much that Mark took him out of the pond so that he could walk around the downstairs. The turtle knocked over the fireplace tools and became enmeshed in the TV cables. Mark put some ice in the turtle pond and put the turtle back into it.
The turtle is still restless. He has tasted freedom and isn't settling down quietly.
